Women’s Self Defense

In Women’s Self Defense, we’ll focus on physical self defense, as well as verbal/vocal boundary setting.

Similar to a Krav Maga Level 1 class, you’ll learn how to punch, kick, knee, elbow (and more) with as much as power as possible, while keeping you safe. We’ll practice a capstone self defense in every class with a special focus on defenses against common attacks used on women.

This class is for all cis and trans women, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN THIS CLASS?

You’ll be led through hands-on scenarios, learning to defend against attacks such as strangulation, headlocks, fighting from the ground and more, so you can fight back, neutralize the threat, and escape.

Expect a good workout and a lot of scenario and stress-based drills, all done in a safe and welcoming environment for any level of fitness and martial arts experience.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING OR WEAR TO CLASS?

Dress in workout clothes that you feel comfortable moving and sweating in! No outdoor shoes allowed on the mats.

Bring a bottle of water.
