What Skills Will My Child Learn?

Physical Self Defense

In physical self defense training, students learn what to do if someone puts hands on their bodies.

We use Krav Maga (Krav Maga Alliance) for our physical self defense training.

De-escalation

Using violence is our last line of defense. Our Krav kids learn techniques to stay calm in the moment, build resilience against verbal bullying, and elect not to strike if they don’t have to.

Better to not be there than to run. Better to run than to de-escalate. Better to de-escalate than to fight. Better to fight than get seriously injured.

Predator Identification and Prevention

Predator identification training educates students on how to spot adult predators with an extra emphasis on spotting predator behavior by people you know.

We use the Spot a Spider methodology for our predator ID training.

Verbal Boundary Setting

Verbal boundary setting is a pre-fight skill that includes de-escalation skills.

We use a variety of methodologies for verbal boundary setting.

Bully Prevention

Bully prevention is a combination of skills, including pre-fight techniques (such as de-escalation and bystander interventions), as well as physical self defense. We teach kids skills that build confidence and develop resilience.

Bystander Intervention

Bystander intervention training is what to do if you see someone being bullied or harassed.

We use the Right To Be methodology for all our bystander intervention.

“Before the kids’ class program began, my son got to take a single Krav class with Kaci. Over a year later, he still refers to that class and what he learned. Meanwhile I can’t get him to remember something I said 10 minutes ago, lol. I’m thrilled KMATX is offering a full program for kids now!”
